We have visited Calhouns on the river about 4 times in the past 6 weeks,3 out the 4 have been bad experiences. Today we were told there would be a 15 minute wait, 30 minutes went by and they tried to seat us outside,we asked for inside, they did accommodate us in an area that was almost totally empty of patrons. Apparently they were short staffed today. Mine and my wife's food was very undercooked. It will be a while before I will give them another chance.
We thought it was great. We sat outside, at the beach restaurant, lots of boat traffic to watch, a band played at one end of the venue, and the servers were attentive. What's not to like. It really was a lot of fun. If you like to have an adult beverage, a little food, watch people, watch boats and listen to a band playing Beatles, Petty, and a little of other stuff of that time period, that night was the night to be there.

Hot wings could been a bit hotter, the oysters on the half shell were great! Margaritas a little weak, and if a customer orders a steak in the Tiki bar, bring them a real knife, not a plastic butter knife lol
