We've always had a fresh approach to fitness. In 1928, our founder had what was then a radical idea: he wanted to build a club where men, women, and children could enjoy fitness, fine dining, outdoor recreation, and the beauty of Lake Calhoun. That dream faced plenty of challenges. At the time, women and children were forbidden in private clubs. The market crashed in 1929, World War II erupted, and the property faced financial obstacles. The team at Kelly Birch Photography loved every bit of shooting at the Calhoun Beach Club. The staff there and the D’Amico Catering staff were friendly, timely and simply wonderful to work with. The space is beautiful, bright, and a timeless elegance. We cannot wait to return and capture this space again.
