Wonderful place for a taste of nostalgia and with a side of history. From the charm of the front door bell jingling to the friendly faces of the people behind the counter - it's a great place to shop for unique NH items. Check out the penny candy out back and the plethora of maple items. I always find the best gifts for out-of-state family here!

Calefs Country Store is one of the best there is ! Well worth the trip.
This place is great! Not only do they have really great and local products you can’t find easily elsewhere, but their food and cheese is incredible. Very high quality and delicious food, unique and fun merchandise, and friendly and helpful staff. Every employee is so friendly and kind and you can tell they truly love their job and customers.
Such a great old time country store. Definitely worth the detour if you are going through Portsmouth on the way to Maine. Give their fudge and rat cheese a try; you won't be disappointed!
