Our first time. We got the blackened shrimp appetizer; excellent!! I had the barbecue shrimp, it was very good! My husband got the blackened ribeye. The taste was good, but it was tough. We know that it's not necessarily the restaurants fault and we certainly want to try it again.
The food was great and though the service was roughly a so so kind of service we did enjoy it and would come back next time we are in the area. We took home some food and it was just as good the next day.
If you like fried seafood, and you live in or are willing to drive to Ellijay, Cajun Depot Grill in Ellijay has an EXCELLENT fried seafood platter. Catfish, Crawfish tails, Oysters, shrimp, crabcake, gumbo, hush puppies, fries and slaw. The food was, in my opinion, better than any fried seafood in my total of 8 years of living just outside of New Orleans. It didn't have that overheated/burnt oil taste to it. Perfectly cooked with excellent flavor. Service was excellent as well. We will be back.
Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time! Excellent food, epic portions, amazing prices, and not one bad thing to say about any of the people. Incredible customer service. Just delicious! 👏👏
