About this business

The Giotta family opened this charming cafe in the 1950s, making it the first espresso bar on the West Coast. Now, it is a North Beach staple with its polished wood surfaces and celebrity-photograph-lined walls. You'll get the feeling that if Chris Isaac, Bill Cosby and Tony Bennett are loyal customers, you should be too. Along with excellent coffee and homemade cuisine, enjoy the live music; several family members and a boatload of regulars are professional singers. On Saturdays, your coffee comes accompanied by traditional... read more

Their breads are hot and freshly baked every day. That’s what you call quality.

Their coffee, I can say, is made of fine grains. I can tell it with the aroma of their coffees. After visiting this shop, I won't settle for anything less.

When you have been in this coffee shop, bring with you your laptop or tablets. They have good Internet connection. And the place is also good for working on a project or just updating your social media accounts.

This caffe was really cute. A perfect place for a quiet cup of coffee or tea. My fiance and I met up with a friend here before dinner. They have a wide selection of drinks and pastries/desserts and nice music playing in the background.
