Wonderful place for Italian food in Portland Hubby and I went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderfull meal there. I had the fresh pasta and hubby had lasagne - both were awesome. One drawback - they don't take reservations and its small so during dinner hour it may be a long wait for a table.
Decent food The food was pretty good, it was very crowded when I was there, and we felt kind of rushed to finish.
Caffe Mingo is above average Caffe Mingo is great and not overpriced like a lot of trendy Italian restaurants in the area. But it is super hard to get a table there. Call ahead -otherwise the wait can be really long!

Excellent wait staff, menu from pasta including gluten free pasta to fish, steak to delicious desserts and wines.
Bar Mingo is a favorite restaurant that is cozy and welcoming. It’s like family. ❤️
I dine alone a lot and the option to sit in a nice/quiet area with comfortable seating versus the bar or at a table, made for a wonderful change. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this to anyone who dines alone, with a friend or with a group, they can accommodate everyone's need.
Amazing food and service with plenty of recommendations for the individual pallet. We had the lasagna and mussels with accompanying wine per the waiters recommendation and I was very much pleased.
