I live in So. Cal and can't get Mexican this unique and delicious anywhere. Salsa is amazing. Simple and delicious refried black beans. Sangria to die for. Chicken is so perfectly delicious in its salsa verde base and we can't get enough. Not to mention the family owned atmosphere rings through in the personalized service.
Decent food, small place they crammed 8 of us into 3 small tables. Even though we had a reservation Probably fun spot in the summer when the outside seating is open No bar

Food, drinks and service is always excellent. Best Mexican food in the area and beyond!
The green-eyed manager is so cool and laid back, often laughing and joking around. A welcome change in the usual stuffy Newton. Drinks are superb and the food-nothing around here comes close. Coming here is like falling through the rabbit hole-go through an alley off Union Street to a beautiful hidden gem of an outdoor patio. It is charming and whimsical. Staff are friendly and authentic. They are very accommodating, just ask-they always go above and beyond to make each visit a memorable time!
