This is my first time at Cafe Quetzal. I came here to host a humanist book club. The service was very welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was the right kind of bright, and the iced mocha latte with caramel and the plant-based protein, potato, and egg and cheese breakfast burrito were fantastic! Highly recommend! Kyla and Bets make an excellent team!
A colleague and I visited at about 7:00 pm on June 27, 2026. We were in Topeka overnight and needed a place to work. What a wonderful surprise! Upon walking toward the cafe we saw signs that read something to the effect that all people are welcome. We walked in and the.cashier greeted us immediately and warmly. Super friendly staff. I was greeted and also wished a good day when I left. Affordable and good quality coffee and food. I got a huge mug of drip coffee and an egg and cheese burrito which hit the spot. There were plenty of vegan options available. Both the coffee and the burrito were brought to my table, which was a nice touch. Cute decor, with board games and musical instruments available for customers to play with.
