Wait staff not so good This restaurant used to be run by student chefs from the Culinary Institute, but not any more. The food is good, but the last time I was there the wait staff was almost non-existent and when they were around they weren't paying attention anyway. Case in point: I asked to substitute the dipping sauce for the snapper I ordered (I didn't like one of the ingredients) and the dish came out with the one I didn't want. Cafe Protege Happy Hour Visiting in South Florida for the week, we stopped into Café Protégé on Thursday evening for their Happy Hour. What a treat! Nice wines and beers and the most elegant tapas. It was a little hard to spot the café from outside, but was very welcoming as we entered. All done in warm wood, glass sculpture, and classy modern touches.
