Simple and sweet, the concrete floors of the dining room are offset by bright purple walls, and seating is pretty limited. So Great! A++++++ – The food is great, and the owners couldn't be nicer. Every time I'm there, the owner and chef (his son?), are out and about greeting their patrons. Food is always good. LOVE IT. Best in Decatur.
wow! – Absolutely fabulous. Wine selection, service, food and even deserts were awesome. This is best restaurant in Decatur for sure. I will be their regular because I really really appreciate what they do. I am tired of factory looking mediocre and so called restaurant icons" offer in this city. They need to come to this restaurant and see how to cook and serve to people and make them happy. Cafe Lilly's is another proof that best restaurants are owner operated.
Good Time thanks to ex..... – I found out about this place after my girlfriend (GF) lied to me about going out with this dude to this place. However, I decided to try it myself. So me and the new GF go and have a blast. Food was good and service was too. Since this review I have been there several times solo and the single scene is cool too. Glad I found out about it, it has become a favorite for me and the GF!
The Gold Standard – I've been to Cafe Lily a number of times and I believe it is the best restaurant in Atlanta. I am a frequent traveler/restaurant goer and this is the gold standard. Welcoming and delicious – I had the special giant delicious crabcake with avacado and orange as an appetizer. It was big enough almost to have been a meal, and full of actual crab, not breadcrumbs. The melt-in-your mouth lamp pinchitos with haricort verte and Japanese sweet white potatos were outstanding, and the wine (Monterey Crosspoint Pinot Noir) was a perfect complement to the meal. Beautiful restaurant.... – I went to Cafe Lily a few days ago and I had an amazing time. We walked in a little before closing time and they welcomed us in. The lamb is AMAZING!! The ambience is very romantic. There is even a little room--I like to call it the blue room, that is so romantic and secluded from the rest of the restaurant in a little nook. Perfect for a night out with that someone special. To be seated in this room, however, call ahead to make that special request.
moved to write after reading mamac's review. – I don't know where that review by mamac was coming from; perhaps they were at the wrong restaurant, or perhaps they misheard what was said and to whom. My wife and I have been going to Cafe Lily for years and have never experienced anything but the warmest of welcomes from the owner and all of the employees there. Could I have a Table...PLEASE?? – Sunday Brunch, six tables seated in the restaurant. Could not get the host to take our name or even ask how many in your party? UNTIL the host stand was swamped, then a group that came in after my husband and I; hollered over our heads to the host saying they had a reservation for four.
