Get here before 9am, even on the weekdays. I got here at 9:10 on a friday morning, and the lines were crazy!

If you haven't had beignets and Cage Au Lait from Cafe' Du Monde, you haven't lived. Simply the best!!!
If you come between 5 and 7am, you can beat the tourist flood that follows suit later in the morning.
Get here early if it's a busy weekend. We got here at 8 and we were able to get a table. Now it's 8:30 no tables and a line is forming. Service is slow so they will be waiting a while.
Eat lots and lots of beignets! New Orleans tradition!
Definitely wear black. Also, if you're from the north, talk down to the locals. It's the fastest way to make friends!
Go inside! Finding a table takes so much less time than waiting in line in the heat. Have had better, but it's the experience.
