RecommendedThe food at cafe 53 is amazing. Nothing like it for me. The management constantly makes innovative and inspiring dishes that truly are works of art.
Sandwiches are great, Gelato is awesome!
Group order heavily messed up. Lack of two sandwiches even though they were put on the receipt, other ones had missing ingredients and not very helpful staff when faced with the issue. Sandwiches were made much later that agreed upon, all were cold and soggy.
mocha coffee with whipped cream, blueberry muffin, & cranberry tuna sandwich I can vouch for as delicious! As well I also can attest to great customer service too
For my 1st order I got a Turkey Avocado sandwich and it was amazing!! I will definitely come again to try more. YUM!!!
Today I left the other vegan restaurant and crossed the street to Cafe 53. All I will say is that there are several very NEGATIVE things I can list from what I experienced in my first visit here: from the food, to the restaurants, and some things I saw. But because our server Mya was so sweet, polite, patient, and considerate. then I am going to refrain from sharing those things. I just want to say that you for being so professional. Keep up the good work girl! I am not even going to post the photo I snapped of what I saw!
I love the selection and the patio.
I literally just stood in line for 15 minutes and the cashier took a white man that walked off the street before me. He said “wait because he’s with the lady that just walked out” ok how is that my problem?! There is a line. Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat is across the street. You’ll never have this issue. I’d rather wait the 30 minutes for that.
Sunday morning, 2 people other than us in the restaurant (who already had their food) and, we waited 30 minutes for 2 egg sandwiches and 2 bagels. When food still hadn't arrived, I asked about the wait time to learn the order hadn't been started. And no, the cook wasn't cooking he was cleaning. Oh, and no apology whatsoever.
