Couldn't ask for a better restaurant. Great staff and Chef Hamm is absolutely amazing. They always go above and beyond - I've never been disappointed by the food or service there. Love eating at 121!!

We frequently eat at Cafe 121 as well as functions which are catered by Chef Hamm, including those where his students have prepared and serve their creations. The food is always outstanding and most often innovative. The staff and, when they are involved, the students are always attentive and courteous. I highly recommend Cafe 121 for your dining experience in Sanford. For those of you who may be from outside Lee County, it is well worth your trip to drive to Sanford for dinner at Cafe 121.
Ok so the staff lied to the owner Chef Hahm that did call me and apologize for not serving us. We called the cafe the staff said they close at 2 ww arrived at 1:58 to be told the kitchen was closed after we walked in the rain...The Chef made NO attempt to remedy the situation or attempt to fix the issues he continued to defend his staff even though they lied to him directly..he said the only thing he could do was apologize. ..irony to this is he apologized at the time defending his staff that lied to him....if we could have ... read more
We have been using Café 121 for business meeting catering since their doors opened in Sanford. The food is wonderful and their catering options meet all of our needs. And just as important, their customer service is always top notch! They have always been on time and there when I need them. Further, they have gone over and beyond to accommodate short notices which are unfortunately a frequent part of our work environment. Chef Hamm, Lucy and Dana ROCK! I just hate that I live out of town and can't go more often for dinner!
My wife walked in the rain across the street before closing time to be told the kitchen was closed...I did receive a call back from the Chef/Owner which did not attempt to remedy the solution although he did "apologize" at the same time defending his lying staff which in return nullifies the apology..sad day when the Chef is busy teaching at a school rather than focusing on training honest employees and making things right...I gave him more than one chance to try and fix the situation his reply was the best I can do is apolo... read more
