Probably some of the best times ever – Cactus Club is perfect for any occasion...bring friends, family, significant other, after work....so much fun!! Its so close to everything and you can truly get some great food and some even better Margaritas!!!! Had some of the best birthdays there, and never a dull moment in the bar or restaurant! They've changed the food to make it even better and the Pomegrante Marg is a wonderful addition. Go, its great!
Sangria, Margs & Patio! – The Cactus Club has the best patio in Boston hands down! We always stop there after Sox games for the new sangria. The food has gotten a lot better recently and they have killer margs too (go for the perfect marg in the fancy glass).
There might be better... – Although I am having a difficult time finding a good Tex-Mex restaurant in Boston, I do know that Cactus Club probably isn't as good as it gets. The food was mediocre. I don't know what else to say. No one in our party of 5 thought it was anything special. The queso was disappointing also which is hard to mess up. I did enjoy the classic margarita. The environment was fun although it was way too loud to have a conversation at a table for 5. As for me, I will continue my search for good Mexican food... read more
O-V-E-R-A-T-E-D M-A-R-G-A-R-I-T-A-S – From the title, you can imagine how disappointed I was in my first and last Cactus Club margarita; they were unimaginative and elementary to say the least, and all the hype has just become annoying. The menu was alright, but again, average and uninspired. The music is terrible, fortunately you can barely hear it, and don't even get me started on the staff, the bartenders and doorstaff especially. I could go for hours, but I simply regret my visit, and want to give everyone a heads up.
Disgusting margaritas – The margaritas my friends and I ordered tasted like soap. We thought maybe our glasses were not washed out well and ordered different types of margaritas. Those tastes as soap as well...it must be their mix.
Margarita Madhouse – this place gets uncomfortably tight on the weekends, the frozen margaritas are served out of machines--I'm baffled by the #1 vote they got for best margaritas. Sorry, but boston don't know mexican. Stay away from their food, it's really bad (served cold as well), actually, I'd recommend staying away period.
I loved "Margaritas and Massages" – What a great way to unwind after a hard day at work ! This Wednesday promotion they run has two of my favorite things. I brought a group from work and we all had awesome margaritas and the a free massage. Dinner afterward was great. Cactus Club is one of my favorite hangouts in the Back bay.
Great drinks, Cheesy Promotions – My group and I stopped by for Happy Hour on a Wednesday afternoon for "Margaritas and Massages". What we thought was a cool idea was actually an opportunity for a 5 minute massage to be a 5 minute sales pitch for Sauza tequila. It was quite annoying really. Overall though, the drinks were fabulous (my fave was the Mojito Margarita), the food was pretty good, and the servers were very attentive.
Damn....those margs will kick your a##! – The Cactus Club is one of the best bars in the Back Bay I have been to in a while. Knowing that it has been around for years, I decided to bring guests visiting town there to show them a good time (It was my first time as well). We all had a blast. The bartenders acted like they have known you for years, friendly with smiles galore. The food was out of this world. We had a few apps because it was Happy Hour and we had to take advantage of thier 1/2 price appetizers, snake bites and f... read more
