My father and I have been CAA members for over 24 combined years. It seems like everytime we call in there are new policies in place that prevent us from towing our vehicles. We have both cancelled our memberships, and are very dissatisfied with the management of this company. The value is just no longer there for us.
If I could give them a zero I would. My first house claim and it’s a disaster. I’m slapped with a clean up bill CAA won’t pay. They are colluding with a restoration company giving the lowest quote possible and are not willing to negotiate. I wish I remembered the name of the supervisor who assisted me, but he was fantastic. I was in a really hard spot, and his compassion and understanding helped to make a bad day a little better. Because of him, CAA will continue to get my business when I was considering terminating my membership. Having employees that can understand that their customers are human and sometimes you have to look at circumstances through that lense rather than through the lense of policies and procedures.
On Sat late at night, we had a flat tire while returning home fr Sunnybrook Hospital emerg with my sick mother. As a CAA member for 35 years, I was surprised by how difficult it was to reach a live operator. Everything was automated. My first two calls went unanswered by a live person. Finally got hold of 2 CSR. I was told it will be 40-mins wait but I was later told it could take 1–2 hours.
