Required a tow yesterday. Called at 1215 and a tow truck arrived at 2030hrs. I asked the driver if he was busy and he said no that he just received the call. Very unhappy with their service.
I am a life long member of CAA. Having obtained the membership as soon after I bought my first car (which was a used car). Having seen the advantage of vehicle support services like AAA in the USA and several in Europe, I knew one should have a service like CAA as a back up always. In the earlier days of my membership, CAA used to have stores across the country, with free road maps sent to the members to plan their trips (before google maps). my car broke down on county rd 9 and Burnham rd north of Cobourg on Wed called CAA for a tow took them 3 hours for the driver to make it to my car he was very apologizing for the wait but couldn't understand why as he had been waiting to get called out since he arrived at work the man on the phone said they were very busy but 3 hours is a little bit long and I sat in the cold waiting called 3 times for a tow
I’ve just spent my whole day (7 hours) waiting to get my vehicle towed to the mechanic. Trying to communicate with CAA over the phone was a nightmare. I could only speak to their automated service. I informed them that my vehicle was parked in a parking garage, and they proceeded to send not one, but two tow trucks that weren’t able to tow my vehicle. The third tow truck removed my vehicle from the parking garage, but couldn’t take me to the mechanic, so I had to wait (for more than an hour) for a fourth tow truck to arrive.... read more
Horribles service. Waited over 3 hours for a tire change. Constantly was told other members are a priority, I only got updates when I reached out. Last communication I told them I have a private company that could come and to actually be honest if they were coming. They said the driver was one the way and to not worry. The time I was told passed only for me to reach out and discover that they bumped us again. We had a puppy in the car for heavens sake. We will be cancelling now.
