About this business

After visiting Universal Studios, do drop by at this Italian food place, where food and customer service is par excellence. With three exclusive dining areas, this upscale restaurant is decorated elegantly with Venetian furnishing. Grab a bite of the Moeca, which is Maryland soft shell crab, flash fried and served with watercress tossed in lemon-verbena vinaigrette. Sounds tempting? Well there's much more on the menu. And if you wish to host a party or a wedding reception, head to Ca Del Sole, as it has excellent banquet fac... read more

One of the best Italian places in LA! – We had never seen this place until my wife decided to have her bridal shower in Ca' del Sole's amazing outdoor patio. The ambiance alone is worth a visit. But you will be very pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the food, especially their lasagne. The waiters are very pleasant and the wine selection is good. Along with Ca' Brea, this is probably one of the best Italian places in LA. Take your significant other and enjoy a nice summer evening in their gorgeous patio!

Other than ambiance not impressed – We went on a Sat night. The service was OK. The dish 2 of us wanted was no longer available (at 8:00PM???) The bar made the drinks weak. I asked for a SPLASH of fpineapplejuice in my drink twice but got mostly juice both times. The chicken scallopine I had was ok. My wife had lobster ravioli it was very so-so according to her. The chocolate totre dessert was overly heavy and sweet. and beleive me I love sweet desserts! The ambiance was nice, even though we sat inside. I wouldnt go back, ev... read more

Country-inn fare and decor attract showbiz types and valley locals in search of authentic Venetian cuisine. – In Short Trees strung with lights, blazing fireplaces and colorful masks decorate this Italian country inn-style eatery, which sits a stone's throw from Universal Studios. The Venetian cooking can't be mistaken for light Tuscan fare--entrees are hearty and filling and adorned with fresh Parmesan or mozzarella cheese--and are typified by gnocchi or the slow-roasted lamb shank. From the selection of homemade desserts, ... read more

A five-star dining experience! – This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley, especially on those evenings warm enough to eat on the beautiful patio. The menu changes regularly, and also has a number of daily specials so that there's always something new to try. If you've never had a risotto made from farro (a grain) rather than the usual arborio rice, then you must try it - the best I've had was a snow crab and caulilflower farro risotto - it was exceptional. I find it difficult to not order the rabbit legs - two l... read more

Worth the wait!!! – This is one of the last old world style Italian places in the Valley. The service has always been fantastic & the food even better. They have a moderate wine list & a lovely bar area for lounging if you have to wait for a table.

good food, good value – Good food and generous portions make this eatery a good pick for a hearty meal. Save room for one of the excellent desserts.

Exquisite Pasta! – The crab-stuffed ravioli was amazing: fresh and punching with flavor (though it looked more like tortellini). The pumpking ravioli was equally as good. If you're having pasta, don't assume you'll need red wine - the combinations of flavors are unique and wonderful and are lost under a red. Yum! I'll be back. The only disappointment was the wait staff - although friendly, we were largely ignored and waited much too long for coffee, then for our check.

Love the food, love the patio – Hard to believe you can sit so close to Lankershim Blvd. yet still enjoy a serene patio decorated with romantic white lights. I love sitting outdoors and for some reason, LA doesn't have as many patio settings as it could. I came here for my birthday and the food was delicious. I had a pasta special with fusilli, swordfish and fresh tomato. My boyfriend had a hearty risotto in a beef based sauce. We liked it so much, we came back for his birthday a few months later, with his whole family. Defi... read more
