I asked ButaPub for an interpreter at one of their public events (the comedy open mic). Title III of the ADA requires venues like ButaPub to make reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. For people in wheelchairs, it means ramps and lifts and bathrooms they can use. For people who are deaf, it means interpreters upon request. I had brunch at ButaPub on Christmas eve. Now I hate going out on the holidays, I feel bad because I know no one wants to be there. The service was very good, especially for a holiday and the food was delicious. My friend had the breakfast skillet and I had the chicken and donuts. The Korean fried chicken was delicious! There was no one to seat us and it appeared only one person was working tables on a busy Friday night. Once seated we noticed the door to the kitchen open and you can see the kitchen staff. It was hard to not notice that they handled all the food without gloves. There were also individuals with, what i'd call crazy hair, handling food without hair nets. Was in a band for an event. Please fix you sound system! Good food and staff was friendly.
I’ve tried several dishes from their menu, a couple ramen dishes and a couple appetizers and they were all mediocre for the cost attached to them. The only dish that was above mediocre ,from ButaPub, would be the bulgogi. Their donuts did not impress me as well. I don’t normally leave negative reviews but with how they priced their food, I had to leave a review for others to see before they decide to crack their wallet a bit further open for a meal from there!
