Ive seen Joel fir 2 separate issues both times he did nothing, recommended nothing, i left very disappointed and hopeless ?? after the first time to see him about neck i went to another doctor and ended up having 2 surgeries for a spinal fusion. I thought i would give him another chance and saw him for my knees and again he recommended nothing.... i guess i will make another appointment with a new doctor

He performed what all the Doctors at Kaiser said couldn’t be done…
I highly recommend Dr. Hoekema and his staff. He has replaced both my hips with no issues or complications. I found him to be respectful, willing to answer questions, obviously extremely knowledgeable, and his staff are all so helpful and kind.
Went in very nervous due to the nature of the visit and worried about their response to my LGBT+ status. Dr. Barnhart was very courteous, respectful and caring.
Dr Hoekema did surgery on my back. I’m 86 years old and doing so well. He was very kind and thoughtful. I would recommend him. He will take you on as a patient if he thinks he can help you.
Dr Landry takes time to listen to patients and shows concern.
Flippant, arrogant. Invested in his own agenda. Hardly asked me any questions.
Unwilling to take on back issues with a complicated history. Blew past several of my questions and didn't answer them. Made it clear he didn't want to followup on back issues and was unwilling to ever consider surgical options. Basically, try somewhere else for discussion of options and treatment/management. I left with the impression he is only interested in simple straight forward surgery and if you don't fall in that category, go elsewhere. Didn't seem interested in patient care. Can't comment on surgical expertise.
