She had the nerve to look down at my dad when he was telling her about his incontinence. She was rude and this was the worst experience ever! Would not recommend to anyone!
Plus: Dr. burns did take the time to fit me in at lunch time due to time critical testicular cancer. Negative: Her bedside manner is atrocious. After she introduced herself she just blurted out “you have cancer”. After dealing with many doctors due to my wife’s 6 year battle with cancer I would say that she was in the top 3 for being the most blunt and uncaring.
Dr Burns had no empathy or bedside manner. I was in the intensive care unit when I saw her. She looked bored & even used her hands in a way that was telling me to hurry up. Extremely rude & very easy to see why her overall rating is so low. Had she not abruptly left my room I would have told her to leave & then asked the nurse and/or hospitalist for another doctor.
Excellent nursing staff. Phenomenal Doctor.

I wish my husband could share his review, however, he passed away following DiVing I assisted prostate surgery.
Dr. Burns is extraordinarily competent, and recognized as such by her peers who have elected her chief of surgery. She is quick, pointed ... and constantly asks if you have any more questions ... and she answers them. Good listener and explainer. I've checked out her recommendations, and found them to be right on.
Would not recommend. She told my mom she was in renal failure. Soon after, two other doctors shook their heads and said my mom's blood tests were fine and within normal range. She ordered wrong protocol for a test at the hospital and tried to place blame on the radiologist.
Dr Burns is NOT for transplant patients. She almost destroyed my husband's transplanted kidney a few years ago. This was after she said she'd done 100's of these procedures. Then she couldn't even come and face us to explain what happened. Don't go to her.
Worst doctor I have ever seen. She is rude and uncaring. She won’t answer any questions and I felt like I was bothering her.
