Lived here for 3 years and had things happen to me I couldn't make up. The workers are very empathetic, and tried to help in little ways, but ultimately the management tried to cover the big things with many small favors, and that ain't enough to stop me. They know me by name, but only because of how often I showed up to the office with a new grievance. I genuinely would have saved thousands of dollars if I moved out after a year. Up until picking up my keys, I had a great experience with Burnet Flats. The front office staff was friendly, and I fell in love with the Marfa floor plan. Burnet Flats had great reviews when I was apartment hunting, which gave me confidence I was making the right decision. After touring so many apartments that never quite felt like home, I was incredibly excited to move here. ★☆☆☆☆ UPDATE since the "owner" replied: Doors and door access is still broken. I have now submitted 13 tickets since I moved in a few months ago, in addition to more than a dozen emails that I didn't bother to review or submit. And the "owner" sends a BS response thanking me for my review and saying they will continue to better themselves and evaluate the situation. Absolute corporate BS. This place is obnoxiously abysmal. ★☆☆☆☆ I moved here from Minneapolis without being able to see the property first, which is a decision I deeply regret. Here's what I wish I'd known: The noise: I was told this was a "mixed-use" area with commercial neighbors (retail, restaurants, bars). What they won't tell you is that two of those neighbors are industrial: an active roofing business and a metal supplier.
