I both like and dislike the QR code entry directory. It is fairly straightforward and easy-to-use, but at the same time it feels sort of weird also. I have used MANY variations of remote entry in Austin. This is the first time I have encountered this particular method. Its also the first time I had mixed feelings about such a product. They told me I would get $378 of my deposit back in July. It’s now October and they haven’t given it back yet. I’ve been in contact with them for a while now and they don’t seem to care about getting it back quickly. They don’t get back to us about this. We are constantly contacting them asking. They are far past the point of violating Texas law.
Burnet Flats is in a great location right off Burnet with easy access to MoPac and North Lamar. The community is also within walking distance of some great local spots like Little Woodrow’s, A-Town, and Toy Joy. Other locations within walking distance is the bus station, HEB, Eastside Pies, and Hat Creek. Changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star. BTW -- they are asking people to leave all those good reviews you see... After living here for 1 yr I do not recommend this building, especially with so many nicer apartments on the market right now at better price points. Key issues: 1. Noisy neighbours. This is an older building and the ceilings are thin. We got unlucky, and our upstairs neighbor has kids that run around, play with balls and jump off of things at all times of day (starting around 6am -- including weekends). It is ... read more
