Burgess told me my abdominal pain was caused from a traumatic childhood. I told her my childhood was actually pretty great. She told me “the body keeps score” and that I probably just don’t remember some traumatic event. Anyways I was in awful pain for 2 years because I was passed off as an emotional woman.
