Specialties Located at the corner of Wilmington and Davie Streets in the heart of downtown Raleigh, buku is a local restaurant that tells a global story. The name "buku" itself is an international slang twist on the phrase, "Merci, beaucoup" meaning, "Thank you very much." Inspired by the pushcarts of street vendors in cities across the globe, our chefs harvest an array of unique and distinct flavors and present them authentically, in a virtual kaleidoscope of plates. The Sea Bass—and our server, Rachel—were simply amazing!
We went on Sunday at 1:00 for brunch, to celebrate my daughter and her new husband who got married the day before. Even though we changed the number of attendees at the last moment, they accommodated us and were very helpful and friendly. We all got the buffet, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back--thank you!
Great food! It’s fun to try different foods from such different places. The small plates are just the right size. Great place to try something different.
The food was absolutely the best! Love the atmosphere and our waiter - Jason Cooper!
