I purchased an apartment with buildcap back in February of 2023 given the astronomical increase in pricing buildcap and myself came to a mutual agreement to terminate the contract and I would get my full deposit plus interest and Buildcap would pay the solicitor fees for the termination. We purchased an apartment off the plan through BuildCap in Dec 2022. BuildCap have asked us to pay an extra $475000 (+60% of the purchase value) for an apartment on the Gold Coast after we had already paid an increase over 12 months ago, which they stated there would be no more increases. They cited increased building costs but they also received $350 million from the Qld government.
