The train service was kinda cool for the kids. But the rest was a flop. Overpriced. 11 dollars for cheese curd appetizer (there was maybe 15 of them so about a dollar a each) the philly had barely any cheese (hmmm the name cheesesteak) the bread was rock hard. The family said their food wasn’t good. I think the best thing was the homemade root beer. I understand tourist attraction but it’s more a tourist trap.

We went here for our 2nd time since my wife came last year and she had great food and kids loved it. This 2nd time was my first time and would not recommend it. Even my wife was shocked to how different the service and food was in just a 1yr span. We ordered the flat iron steaks and both of ours were completely rare. We both ordered medium-rare, I love steak but this wasn't even close to M-R. They sent both back, mine came back perfect MR 2nd time but was completely grisel. Great food and great service. They go the extra mile to put the smile on kids faces! Add the sundae to your kids meal and the ice cream comes in a train box delivered by the train. Your kids will love you for taking them to this restaurant. We drove 3.5 hours just to have a special lunch here, it’s just that magical for train lovers :)
We came here after we checked out of Great Wolf Lodge and we are glad we did! The buffet was excellent and our 2.5 year old loved the trains and decor. We will stop by every time we are in the area.
