An Exchange of Clothes – Recently I've lost a few clothes sizes due to jogging and so my clothes are looking like garbage bags on me. A friend recommended Buffalo Exchange to save money instead of buying a brand new set of clothes. Buffalo Exchange buys lightly used clothes and resells them. The store is a medium size brightly decorated more trendy version of the salvation army. There were plenty of racks of women clothes and just a couple of mens. The women's selection looked trendy enough but the men's side was a bit lacki... read more

Lots of junk, worth the gems – Buffalo Exchange is a great place to come when you're in need of some retail therapy. You'll have to sort through a lot of junk (think Hollister, Forever 21, American Eagle) but there are always a few hidden gems (Marc Jacobs, BCBG, Michael Kors, Burberry). The best part? Even if you shouldn't have been shopping, the prices are so low that you won't feel any buyer's remorse. Even if you can't find what you're looking for, you're already on Westheimer -- just run across the street to another thr... read more

Fun, Trendy Resale Shop – This is a really good resale shop. Unlike other thrift stores, the clothes are really geared towards a younger crowd -- older teens and young adults. No baby clothes and no little kids clothes makes for a more peaceful shopping experience! This is my favorite thrift shop, and I love visiting this place. The negative reviews on this site are really funny! All of them come across as sounding like sour grapes from competitors to be honest.

This place is a joke and the manager is terrible. – Clothing sellers do not waste your time. Run do not walk away from this place. You will do much better selling on Ebay. To start off with these people have poor customer service. I do not know where they got off having a snooty attitude. They work in a run down used clothing shop in an unsafe part of town- there is not a thing to be snobby about. When I walked in I was not greeted properly and the inappropriateness of the staff's interaction with me just continued from ther... read more

good clothes, but you can find good anywhere – Let's see...stuck up sales crew, buy stuff for 5 bucks...resell it for $30...most of the stuff I liked was $30 and up where I can buy new for that price, some of the stuff was torn, dirty, stained and I wouldn't pay "new" prices for that. Maybe, just maybe if I would have had a better experience with the sales crew, I would have bought something. For sure they need customer service training because w/out customers there's no biz!

the best resale shop in houston – this is THE place to find a great deal on cool clothing-- it is not the most inexpensive to place to shop but it is the most inexpensive place to find the range of quality, stylish clothing they offer. It is important to remember they evaluate the items the take based on a combination of condition/label/look (with the look being the most important) so they won't take something based just by the label, which is something i feel differentiates this chain from most other resale shops (which wil... read more

Not bad, but not good – I go to the thrift shops on westheimer quite often and I almost always find a lot of great stuff. But unless you have a little more money to spend I wouldn't even bother with Buffalo Exchange. They have a lot of really great stuff but the prices are more then I'm usually willing to spend on used clothing. Besides that the staff is kind of stuck up (of course that pretty much goes for the staff of any of the Montrose area thrift shops). I will say they have an amazing selection and I pretty much always... read more

Not quite a vintage boutique, not quite a thrift store: Chic clothes on these racks are the coolest castoffs around. – In Short The first Buffalo Exchange opened in 1974 in Tucson, Arizona, and has since become a famous-label junkie's delight. The eclectic inventory is built by loyal customers who bring in former favorites from their own closets to sell or trade. A constant turnaround of lightly worn men's and women's clothing and accessories keeps the bargain-hunting ground fertile for finds from the likes of Kate Spade, Do... read more

Basically it's horrible – I went here once and was so disappointed. I have NO IDEA why people like it so much. It's like.....a Marshalls but with old 4 seasons ago True Religion jeans. I don't know what kind of "designer" stuff people find here but I only saw stuff you can buy at freakin Macy's. Total waste of gas!
