I took my car to a reputable auto service shop over a month ago who told me I needed a new transmission and that it would cost me about $5,000 plus labor... After 4 weeks my car was still there and nothing had been done to it. The owner kept telling me he had to get a quote on the transmission, the oil that needed to go in the transmission, the amount that it would take to reset the digitals in the car and his labor cost... but every time I would call, he could not give me a exact amount.
