⚠ ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE: Dirty cars, mechanical issues, and billing scams Never renting from Budget again. Here is what happened on my weekend trip: No vehicle available: Arrived to pick up my reserved car and was told they had nothing. They have a 3.7 for a reason. Our departure was delayed due to us having to wash and clean the vehicle we rented. We had no other choice. When we picked up the vehicle which was a 12 passenger van, the check in was ok due to the rep being new. At least that’s what we thought due to him asking other coworkers for help. He was nice and had good costumer service. When we got the van and opened it, the inside was so dirty and there was trash everywhere. They had not vacuumed or cleaned it at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!! Try other companies, the car was dirty at pickup , the front counter person was like " ill let your manager know ,he was more interested on watching videos on his phone , then i get a fueling charge , should have read the reviews prior to getting there , should have not washed the car either and if the manager is a real manager he would explain why i got charged more when clearly the photo says its full , when i clearly showed your counter employee the photo .
