We had read the great reviews, but I guess they were having a bad day Our party of four got to town and went straight to Buddys arriving at 1 pm on Wednesday. There were a number of full tables... all waiting on drinks, or their orders or something. We waited too. No one said hello or came round to take our order. We finally left. Too bad. We had high expectations.

While the Crater of Diamonds was the attraction which primarily directed me to Murfreesboro, the real attraction is Buddys Ranch House Cafe and the staff there. The Crater of Diamonds offers diamonds in the rough, while Buddys Menu and Girls are the finished gems! You are greeted by smiling staff with a warm "Hello!" and hog-heaven has begun. all american menu, I tried the chicken fried steak, the large is platter size, oh my gosh, that was huge, but good, get the smaller portion, and share a bite with others. the breakfast was good. close proximity to Queen of Diamonds motel, for a good breakfast when the continential breakfast is too busy. This was a good place.

Me and my family eat there for supper 03/16/10. My son had a kids hamburger. I had a taco salad. My husband had a BBQ beef snadwich and beans. We liked the food and the atmosphere. We will go back the next time we are there. The only problem was the restrooms were on the side of the building.

Great food!! Had the philly steak omelette for breakfast. my daughter had the biscuits and gravy. we loved them both so much we went back for lunch. i had the chicken fried steak sandwich and she had the steak quesadilla. awesome!! we left room for dessert and split a piece of peanut butter pie. staff is great both waitresses take care of you throughout your meal. save room for dessert you wont be disappointed.
