If you’re going to have a virtual concierge, make sure it works. It sucks to travel all day and then not be able to check in. You’ll also be lucky if you get a hot shower. Warm water lasted about 1 minute each time then got cold. It’s also very noisy. Cute decor is the best thing about this place.

Don't do it. Loud! Zero service. It is a totally self-serve location. Not a great part of town. Main thoroughfare for police, fire, and ambulance. Numerous homeless encampments between this hotel and the bayfront. Homeless walking down your street. I had my head on a swivel. Requires you to buy insurance (which I have an annual policy) or pay $250 deposit. I did not love it.

I stayed for a weekend here over Valentines Day. The room was a lot smaller than it seems in photos - ended up only being enough space for the bed plus the bathroom. It was really clean and they had complimentary coffee, water, and earplugs. The shower took forever to get warm, but stayed warm once it did and is spacious, although there is no closing shower door, so water got all over the floor. I stayed at Davis Downtown San Diego and was overall disappointed. The hotel feels old and outdated, with very small rooms and a bathroom that was in poor condition. I arrived in San Diego at 10:00 a.m. and learned that check-in was not until 4:00 p.m., but I was able to secure an early 3:30 p.m. check-in after messaging the property.
