About this business

This establishment holds the oldest liquor license in the state, and it has been in operation for more than a century. Serving since 1893, this national historic landmark has seen countless wild west icons having a meal here, including the legendary Buffalo Bill Cody. Be aware that the dining room walls are flanked by animal trophy heads, which some diners find as uncomfortably distracting. The menu offers some eye-opening fare such as rattlesnake, yak and fried alligator tail. If you prefer the traditional cuisine, tenderlo... read more

Visited this place over the summer. Couldn't be more amazed, & impressed with the service & food. A very old restaurant in Denver holding the first liquor license for the state. An interesting menu ranging from basic steaks, to rattle snake dip, i recommend you try. Service was perfect, & on top of everything. If you get a chance reserve a table upstairs. You won't be disappointed. Awesome taxidermy everywhere take time to look around. Next time I go to Denver, this is where I'll be stopping in to eat. Thank you, staff & che... read more

A great experience. Roads were under construction all the way around it when we were there so it was hard to get to but well worth it. Had Rocky mountain oysters and had a great whiskey tasting session with the bartender. We went though 7 or 8 different whiskeys both local and afar. A good time all around
