RecommendedI’d like to give 5 stars to Dr.Shaw. What a great Veterinarian. He came to my barn twice on emergency calls in the last two weeks for my horse. He showed up right away each time. My mare sadly had to be euthanized after doing everything to try and help save her. I felt like he treated and cared for my horse as if she were his own horse. To me that is so important. Dr. Agle came out today to put my 33 year old mare and longtime companion to sleep. I really appreciated the kindness and dignity with which he treated her, and I value the excellent care all of the Buckeye Vet staff have shown her over her long life.
Dr. Agle, and his staff were so amazing! We recently got two alpacas and they made them good as new, and even showed me how to properly give them their monthly ivermectin.
My 13 yr old gelding dropped weight suddenly and I had just lost one from cancer fast weight loss. Dr Shaw came out ran a lot of tests on him and assured me he would be fine. He made several recommendations after tests all came back negative. Calmed me down and told me my big guy was fine.
My horses and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Tom Shaw and his amazing RVT, Gail. My mare had suffered a traumatic experience several years ago, and ever since can be quite the handful/very frustrating for a dental, even after an appropriate amount of sedatives. They were so kind and incredibly patient with my two horses. Both Gail and Dr. Shaw took the right approach to treating my two horses, seeing what made them feel the most comfortable. Our brand new OTTB was showing signs of colic Tuesday night & Dr Shaw came out within 30 min of my call. He listened to all the signs my horse was giving me & he new exactly what was wrong with her & was able to manually release a lot of her discomfort right away. He gave her meds & we tried to tube her. He explained in detail exactly what we needed to do in the following days & what caused her to colic.
