Bubba's gets its name from co-owner, Mark "Bubba" Presnell. He is a native of Yancey County and he attended Mountain Heritage High School, graduating in 1988. He has always been involved in sports, whether it be playing in high school and college to coaching in Youth League. He was also a softball coach for his daughter's travel ball teams.
