I've been to several Bubba Gump's all over the country, I know to expect mediocre food but we usually have a blast. My dad and I even studied prior to going to beat each other in trivia. No one even mentioned the movie at all. Nor was the service very good period. We also got sat by the door and it was 30 degrees. I was freezing the entire time. Worst Bubba Gump experience I've ever had. I live in Charleston now and won't be going back. Chicago, Vegas & Orlando rock it, every time.
For freshness, you cannot get anything better. Second time there and will certainly be going back. The wait staff are wonderful - - - not pushy but very attentive to your every need.
We came for quick dinner before our ghost tour. As many of you know eating anywhere in downtown Charleston on a Saturday night in less than a hour is unheard of. The staff at Bubba Gumps made it happen for us. Our food was absolutely delicious and our waitress was amazing!

Our server, Josh, was fast and efficient. The food came out quick. Somewhat pricey but have seen worse. Very little offered for a non seafood eater. Discussing the shrimp and grits with our waiter, we were told portions were preprepared to ensure consistent contents and could not be changed. I didn't have the horrible experience others have written about and I can say that I've eaten there. Will I return, I doubt it. Think I'll be heading back to High Cotton or Magnolia's.
