Fun and yummy! – This is a great place for enjoying the French Quarter, the balcony is great for watching the sights and sounds. My favorite dish is the Mahi Mahi with shrimp and a creamy bourbon sauce, yum! Our server was a kick, she was so funny and really made us feel welcome in New Orleans.
Good Times at Bubba's – Every time we have eaten at Bubba's it has been great food and service. Keep up the good work.
Service – Had to discuss at great length about what it was I desired to order. It appeared the kitchen staff were unable to make what was ordered from their menu; caeser salad, salmon, side of fries. Very disturbing to have to lobby with the waitperson to get what the customer desired. 062110. 6:05 pm
Shockingly enough, the food was actually good! We had the New Orleans shrimp and fried chicken and both were good. No way, right? Well, they're not perfect. We also had the lava flow and somesort of Southern Comfort blend type drink and both were just expensive and tasted incredibly bad.
worse food and service – the service was horrible. our waitress took forever for our orders. the appetizers took an hour to come out, and the dinner and hour after that. the restaurant was not busy that day. the food was cold when we got them and overcooked.
rodent ran across floor – A rodent ran across the floor while we were eating...the waitress was nonplussed. What??? At the end of the meal when we were asked about dessert my husband asked if they had chocolate "mouse"...the waitress was speechless ! The couple in the next booth couldn't stop laughing. WWFD "Life is like eating at Bubba Gumps you never know what is going to run across the floor."
Food not even close to New Orleans quality – The server was nice, the place is neat. The dining experience ends there. When you are in the French Quarter you have an abundance of very good food around you. The fried shrimp had HEAVY breading and taste like the frozen shrimp you buy in the box, pre breaded....in fact I am convinced. The shrimp and artichoke dip tasted like bad fish, very fishy.
