Disappointment doesn't begin to describe my experience with my recent VW Atlas Cross Sport lease. During the leasing process, I specifically inquired about GAP insurance, as I routinely include this coverage in all my vehicle leases. The sales representative, who I believe went by Tony (last name possibly Romariz), explicitly stated that GAP insurance was now "standard on ALL VW lease vehicles." My last visit to Brunswick VW was (on the phone) an oil change, tire rotation and tire balance. When arriving to my appointment the service desk attendant (nice guy) had no idea what my appointment was for. Great. My car that was serviced was a TUNED VW GTI which had, at this time, a recall to have the ECM flashed/updated. My car was involuntarily applied a recall without asking/ permission, which has resulted in a $86 visit to have my car re-tuned. Terrible service. After service my car turned the coolant level advice on dashboard. Guess what... service guy didn't close the coolant reservoir. It's basic on maintenance.
