Had an appointment for an eye exam with Dr Coccimiglio on January 13th. Excelled and very friendly doctor. Was refused service by the receptionist because I am exempt from wearing face covering. You would think that a medical establishment would follow the rules set out by the Ontario Ministry of Health about face covering exemptions. Rude staff at the reception desk. Will find a new optometrist unless they call and admit that they made a mistake about the exemption rules.
I have been a patient with Dr. Coccimiglio for several years. I have received nothing but excellent care. I had my mother see him 2 years ago, he discovered she had Macular Degeneration. Her previous optometrist never had a clue about her loss of vision because they would just have her read an eye chart. I feel Dr. Coccimiglio goes above and beyond patient care. I would highly recommend him for eye care.
Dr. Coccimiglio has been my and my husband's eye doctor since we came to Elliot Lake. He is exceptionally good. Unfortunately he has had to close his Elliot Lake office for now due to Covid-19, so we made the trip to Sault Ste. Marie for our appointments.
