Went to Navy Pier location on Sunday. Ordered two cupcakes and they were very dry with hard frosting definitely not fresh they tasted old. We each had one bite and decided to return them due to this. To our dismay they refused to return and refund. Company policy. What poor product and customer service. Perhaps all the old product goes to the tourist location so they sell them and don’t care. Just awful

I bought a caramel cake for my birthday. I went to pick it up yesterday and the baker boxed it up. When I got home I removed the top and the decorations were on the roof of the box. I called and emailed. The owner responded this morning saying I could drive back 40 minutes for them to fix it but she wouldn’t give me any compensation or discount. She then tried to blame me. We tried two different slices of cake the caramel and the coconut and they were out of this world! Cake alone was worth the trip from Oklahoma City.
Brown Sugar Bakery used to be really good before they started pre-cutting their slices. The cake slices were bigger and fresher.

Today I drove from Richton Park to Chicago for 5 slices of cake.... As I was placing my order the young lady were bringing out slices from the back! I asked for one and her response was “no! U can’t have these”! I asked very politely why not? She said u have to take one out the refrigerator! I said okay,and walked out the door!
