My experience with Michael Brown has traumatized me. Traumatized me so much that when I became pregnant with my second child I was terrified of the thought of giving birth again. After giving birth to my child he ripped my placenta out of me. When I was discharged I became very sick and had to be readmitted into the hospital. I was in excruciating pain and don’t wish that upon anyone especially someone’s first birth. I hope now he is retired because he obviously does not care about his patients.
Dr. Brown's negligence and unconcern directly contributed to the premature birth and subsequent death of my son. I called for a week saying I thought something was wrong only to be brushed off. I ended up in the hospital dilated to 6 and fully effaced at 22 weeks. Had he seen me a week earlier and caught this, we could possibly have stitched my cervix and bought critical time. Afterwards, he was cold and callous about what happened and during the birth, couldn't be bothered to attend in person.
If you aren’t willing to give up your uterus to a DaVinci robotic hysterectomy, don’t go here.
Dr. Brown was the attending physician for my delivery with no complications. After just two or three pushes, Dr. Brown gave me an episiotomy without my consent, or even a warning that he was going to do one. It seemed like he was in a hurry and just wanted to leave. I was devastated as soon as I realized what he had done. I went back for a 6 week check up, my doctor discovered my episiotomy did not heal correctly. Dr Brown’s resident failed to stitch it correctly, requiring another surgery.
I had a consult with Dr. Brown and he was nice, informative and helpful. He eased my worries about an upcoming procedure. I did not feel rushed by him at all. I left his office feeling reassured and hopeful.
Seemingly did not thoroughly review my medical history before agreeing to a tubal ligation. It resulted in me needing to be medi-flighted via helicoptor to the ER close to death due to perforated intestine causing severe sepsis and resulting in a very lengthy hospital stay including the ICU and multiple surgeries to correct the damage (severed bile duct, liver infection, spillage of intestinal content, etc). This isnt his first major mess up either but this site wont tell you that....we dug deep
I just saw Dr Browns rating and thought he deserved even better. I saw him for problems I was having approx 5/6 yrs ago that other Doct were having a hard time diagnosing. He was able to tell me almost immediately. After tests to confirm his suspicions, he was able to schedule me for surgery. Problem completely fixed. Also wanted to mention his kindness and professional bedside manner!
Thanks to Dr. Brown and the ER dr at St. Francis I was finally taken seriously after having sudden onset of pelvic pain. Dr. Brown performed a robotic assisted hysterectomy. He found I had ovarian torsion. Had the drs been like all the others I had seen before I would still be in extreme pain or maybe worse.
He doesnt take notes so you constantly have to repeat yourself. He is always out of the office and you have to accomodate his schedule and not your own. Also if you are someon who likes to know whats going on in your pregnancy this is NOT the doctor for you. The response I got all the time was if its a problem Ill let you know. I never got my test results. I switched doctors and found out Im anemic something that was in my test results but was never told to me.
