Nicknamed the "Little Smokies" because of the area's resemblance to the Great Smoky Mountains, Brown County encompasses nearly 16,000 acres of rugged hills, ridges and fog-shrouded ravines. Glaciers from the most recent ice ages stopped short of the "hills o' Brown," but their meltwaters helped create the narrow ridges, steep slopes and deep gullies of Brown County State Park. stayed there for a staff meeting, the place is beautiful in itself but the rooms were great the cafeteria was wonderful and the view was spectacular.

Beautiful clean park. Campground has so many wonderful sites for all different types of campers. Love to ride our bikes, hike, and visit the scenic parts of the park.

The little town of Nashville is a gem. Lots of quaint places to shop and get good food. Abe Martin Lodge is a fun place to stay although there are many interesting places to stay around the area. There are a variety outdoor activities: horseback riding, camping, backpacking, hiking, biking, swimming, beautiful scenic views to paint, photograph or just enjoy.
