Lived here in the early 1990s as an art student, back when Portland was killer. I love seeing the interior photos; everything looks just the same (except the hallways...back then they had dark red carpet, and the wooden paneling on the lower walls was stained a dark brown.) The elevator had one of those criss-cross metal grilles as a door. The building had a comforting smell, like wet wool and hot metal, chili powder and old wood. expired elevator permit, security number posted will tell you they havent worked with brown for years, tweakers in the laundry room, tweakers in the lobby, agressive drugged out neighbors on the entire basement floor, blasting music, banging on walls and floors, etc just dont move here lmao
