Lived here in the early 1990s as an art student, back when Portland was killer. I love seeing the interior photos; everything looks just the same (except the hallways...back then they had dark red carpet, and the wooden paneling on the lower walls was stained a dark brown.) The elevator had one of those criss-cross metal grilles as a door. The building had a comforting smell, like wet wool and hot metal, chili powder and old wood.
