Michelle and Margaret went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. I was very concerned about one of my properties and the way the ownership was displayed online. Michelle was very understanding of my issue and took her time to investigate and provide me with reassurance. Margaret responded also and was able to clearly explain her findings and provide a resolution that made me very happy. This kind of service is so difficult to find these days. Broward County is so fortunate to have Michelle and Margaret!!

Took half a day to come out here, do what I have to do, pay for parking just to find looked doors. Called and the answering service states it’s a holiday Juneteenth and they are closed. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand since Google map states the office is open. What a waste of time and effort.

I sold a home for 690,000 and purchased one for 700,000. with so called portability my taxes should have gone up little yet it went up 330%. Why, intentionally these assholes do not increase your properties market value if you have homestead it and they do not immediately adjust it based on a sale. Talk to a lawyer if you will sell and buy another home and you think they will give you portability. Its a big scam

Property taxes are paid yearly by the bank through the mortgage escrow, during this time homestead exemption could be verified with the bank using the homeowner’s mailing address. Permanent address could be determine, then in November not years later. The county writes a check, the bank pays it, no verification, no communication. Lets pay all the checks that come in and bill the homeowner if there's a screw-up. This is an area of improvement regarding government (efficiency) waste fraud reduction.
