I've been a local for over 45 years....i don't always go to Brophys, but when I do..... it's always great!
I'm afraid I can't speak about most items on the Brophy Bros. menu because I've ordered the cioppino all six times I've gone there! It is the best I've ever tasted. Heaven. And if you can get an outside seat overlooking the harbor...well, it doesn't get any better than that.
Haven't been back in years. Thoroughly disappointed from when I went with a friend, we both ordered the clam chowder, and both got it entirely WATERED DOWN because they had barely enough for maybe one bowl. The waitress couldn't bother to inform us (don't know if it was her fault or someone else's) that there wasn't enough to fill two orders and ask if one of us might want something different. Used to love Brophy's, but with service and food quality like that, not anymore. Now I tell people to go to McDonald's instead. Inste... read more
