I was in search of a new general practitioner after mine retired. I found out that Dr. Mohan was accepting new patients. My initial appointment was rescheduled by his office, after waiting over a month to get the appointment in the first place. After arriving today, I was informed that the doctor refuses to prescribe any form of birth control due to his religious beliefs. That is well within his right as a doctor. They won't prescribe you birth control pills because of their "religious beliefs".
Dr. Mohan is fine but his staff, more specifically his nurse Tonya/Tanya is just horrible. I waited for over a month for a call back. I finally got in touch with her and she was beyond rude. She kept cutting me off and going in to how she documents EVERYTHING and the other office must have gotten my phone number wrong. She didn't take responsibility for anything including HER failing to call me back for over a month. RecommendedI love my doctor, Maria Teresa Cabe. She is always cheeful, and thorough. When I called her office just now, the gal who answered the phone was friendly and curteous. I've been seeing Dr. Cabe for several years now, and most of the time the wait to get in averages around 30 minutes. That means sometimes I get in almost right away, and sometimes wait about 45 minutes or so.
I absolutely love my physician Justina Girod! The office staff could most definitely improve on better patient etiquette. I understand it's trying when when you have one person scheduling, answering the phone and checking out people but it's not okay to be rude and take that out on the patients. Overall it's worth the wait and at times frustrated staff.
Dr. Lefebre left a lot to be desired - seemingly only interested in running tests.
Dr Girod is the best! I have been with her for 13 years and now my whole family goes there. She is down to earth and willing to listen. Her staff is great too!
This is the worst place in Fort Wayne. Please do not go here.
