RecommendedWe moved Mom in, then Dad, a few days apart. Brookdale personnell and staff have entirely worked with us throughout our entire life changes and processes! Everyone is always happy and pleasant, including staff, residents, and visitors. It always smells fresh inside, and there is a nice walk path, and a beautiful garden. My dad thoroughly enjoyed the garden area.
Brookdale West County was the home for my mother Rena for 1 & 1/2 years before she passed away. The compassion and care the staff had with my mother could not be any better. The love and care they have for their residence made me fell I made the right decision for my mother and I know she appreciated it. A dear friend recently moved in and she is delighted with the beautiful building and grounds and especially with the kind, fun-loving staff. And I will soon be leading weekly sing alongs for all residents at this facility! Watch for Sing Along with Cindy — it will be FUN!
In 2016, we moved our relative to Brookdale West County. She was upset at moving to Assisted Living from her home, neighborhood and friends. The staff worked extremely hard to help her adjust and while it took months, she endeared herself to her surroundings. We recently moved her to a closer facility to friends and relatives. We have nothing but the highest praise for the management and all staff. The Activities Director, in particular, showed extreme patience.
I am so excited to be part of the Brookedale family! My heart has always been for caring for people and have been doing so for 4 yrs. I will say Brookedale is the absolute best place I've worked at since getting into nursing. Look forward to meeting everyone and spending many yrs learning and sharing the love of Brookedale.
I love Brookdale . This was the first community i worked for that specialize in memory care. At a time were Alzheimer's population is increasing and families didn't have a lot of options at that time. It was nice, to see families have a since of security knowing, their is a place for their loved one to call home. They do not over work their employees. When I found out my dad was suffering from dementia we had to do something to change his living situation. When he moved in to Brookdale he was in bad health and wasn't taking any of his medications he needed to. The staff here treat everyone like family and never make you feel judged for not understanding the full alzheimer/ dementia diagnosis.
