A worker at this facility married a patient with dementia with the explicit purpose of getting an inheritance from him. IMPORTANT EDIT: Brookdale is looking into the situation and taking steps to solve it. They allowed inappropriate and predatory contact between an employee and a patient with dementia, which allowed her to marry him so she could steal his money. Rather than publicly address the situation, they simply removed the image they posted thanking her for her work, and removed their uploaded image of him calling him their patient. It was very apparent this place, especially when family members cannot see what is happening, is only interested in being a revolving door for Medicare money and care of the people they are trusted with is not a consideration. Do not trust your loved ones here. My mother is not better and they truly don’t care.
Brookdale management and staff are very compassionate and caring for their residents. My Dad has been there since February 2020 and his health has improved so much since being there that Hospice has discharged him from their care. He is so happy there and never asks to go home. He loves the food and never complains about anything they have to eat. i would highly recommend if you are looking for a Senior Living Facility for a love one that you check out this facility. Thank you for taking such good care of Dad.
I Wouldn't recommend anyone stay here or place their family here! They keep the elderly prisoner! They refuse their guests/family! They keep family members locked out for no reason! This is horrible! DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IN THERE, YOU MAY NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN!! MY GRANNY IS BEGGING FOR ME TO VISIT AND THEY WON'T LET ME! THE EMPLOYEES EVEN LIE TO ME AND SAY SHE ISNT THERE! I HAVE PROOF OF ALL OF THIS! AND AN EMPLOYEE WILLING TO TESTIFY TO THIS!
