My mother has been at Brookedale @ Oakbridge for over 5 years now . It was the best decision I could have made for her.... and me. Her health was declining and although a difficult decision , I knew it was in her best interest to have care around the clock. I will not lie the first month was not easy ... but now my mom calls it her home and when we take her out she is anxious to get back to "her place".Most importantly , the staff is like our family . My mother was in the rehab portion for 3 1/2 days. They gave her the wrong breathing treatment meds for the first day (less, not more, but still...). They fed her foods she was allergic to for the first day and a half (both of these after I questioned and complained). Day 3, she falls sick. Day 4, she finally gets meds for the illness. She also develops a fever. They page the doctor. We discharged her to her real medical care. She tested positive for the flu. Very dissatisfied!!!!
Loved this community and can't wait for my Mama to move into her own beautiful one bedroom apartment we held for her yesterday. she loved it too. and the staff is excellent there and the food also. it's like living in an upscale resort.
The worst place ever. Father in law was in there and had to go to the bathroom pushed the nurse button for ten minutes with no answer so then he decided to try and go on his own because he really had to go and ended up falling out of bed and pooped himself and a nurse didn't show up for another 30 minutes. The food is all dry and he couldn't eat it. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!
Horrible horrible facility. Especially, on the rehab side. They are understaffed and very neglectful.They forgot my grandmother's breakfast and lunch one day. They didn't change her bandage dressing on her leg for four days, and they left her sitting on her bed pan for 45 min after she went to the restroom, so she was sitting in her feces for that long before someone removed and disposed of it. I do not recommend allowing your loved ones to stay in this terrible place.
It is under staffed and not much personal help.Would not like to be there.
