RecommendedWe moved our Mother Gloria to Brookdale Danforth when it was Sterling House. She lived there for nearly nine years. She truly loved how she was made to feel important, special, and respected. The food was phenomenal, the staff efficient and caring. We especially appreciated the nurses, Patrick and Laura; the Director, Lisa; and also Anthony, James, and Renee. It was an excellent choice for her.
My Mother-in Law lived at Brookdale Danforth for 6 1/2 years. She liked the size of the facility, the easy access to the activity rooms, and the activities provided. In all, she felt that this was her home, she was safe, comfortable and with friends...both staff and residents. As she aged, her needs changed and the staff provided the help as needed. I’m puzzled by all the positive comments but seems all are 2 or more years old. Wasn’t impressed with the care given. We had to constantly ask for them to do the care we expected. When the Mother In Law passed, we decided to move the Father In Law since the care was less than acceptable (a week after her death). Since we didn’t give adequate notice charged another full month.
They take such good care of my mother. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

My Grandma was there for 7 1/2 years. They were very helpful in enabling her to stay till she passed away at 104. I would highly recommend them.
