Very pleased with Brookdale Senior Living, Pleasant Hills, AR. Not perfect, understaffed in housekeeping and it shows in the skimpy cleaning for each resident, I am expecting (hoping) that this will resolve as they hire more staff members. Maintains building, quick to respond to repair requests. Staff is respectful as should be the baseline for any senior care facility. My father was admitted to the ER 2 times in a period of 3weeks right after he was moved in. A social worker on the case did not allow him to return to Brookdale due to bed sores and severe weakness and dehydration. My father has Parkinson disease, because they would not administer his medication on time he was bedridden for those 3 weeks. To make matters worse, they have continued to deduct his bank account after his abrupt leave in March with no authorization! On Fri, Jan. 5, 2018, Emergency room called me to come get my dad. A steel door at Brookdale in Durham, NC had slammed shut during a fire drill and knocked him down. After being bandaged and stitched, ER called Brookdale to come & retrieve him, but was put on hold and then hung up on. When ER called back, Brookdale would not answer the phone. Brookdale Senior Living establishments are dangerous! There are so many complaints all over the web they shouldn't even be able to operate. I've sent a letter to Andrew S****, CEO/President, and 52 other people, organizations, agencies and government agencies. My mother was admitted to Brookdale Lakeway following major hernia/stomach surgery. Although they were aware she was coming, not one person greeted nor ever saw her the 1st entire day and night. On Jun 04, 2017, I had an extensive ankle fusion on my right ankle and also five, very large medical screws inserted into my right ankle to try and keep it in place. I was sent there for two months of alleged physical therapy but the two months I was there I did not receive one single incident of any physical therapy whatsoever on that right ankle and then I was discharged without consultation of my surgeon or Breanna H******* who was my P.A. at the facility. The Brookdale location in Westminster, CA has gone down hill considerably since Brookdale took over from ******** over one year ago. Currently, the dining room has been closed due to a flood for the past few months, so they are delivering meals to the residents rooms. Some of the "nurses" are not really nurses at all, however, Brookdale allows them to act/say they are. Before the flood, the freezers were out for awhile. My wife was in Brookdale Mentor for about 5 months. The first three weeks she was sent to the ER 3 times. Medications were not given in the time frame they were ordered. She was in the memory care unit which is a locked unit. She got out and was found approximately 1/4-1/2 mile away. She was scratched up 2 times badly by a caregiver. I removed my wife from this facility. The facility she is in now is very good. I have no complaints at this time about them. I regret the day that I entrusted my wife's care to Brookdale Mentor.

My own mother has been a resident at Brookdale 799 Yellowstone drive. She has been treated with the utmost respect and professionalismâ?? at all levels of service. The Lvns are excellent and the head Lvn is spectacular.
