My brother has been admitted into Bronson Battle Creek numerous times in the last 3 years for an infection that they cannot identify. We have had a few good nurses and doctors, but the majority just don't seem to understand the word empathy anymore. The hospital doctors are changed about every 1-3 days depending on when you are admitted, the nurses are mostly traveling nurses and mostly seem to have a hard time understanding the needs of the patients. Very disappointed in the wait at the emergency room. My son has a fever of 102.3 a dislocated possibly broken shoulder and a concussion sustained for sure at a sports event yet he has waited for hours with preexisting conditions including asthma and autism so it is hard for him to sit still, you think anyone of the staff cared enough. No they are in the back offices laughing sitting still and chatting among one another. One of the worst hospitals BRONSON BATTLE CREEK guaranteed.
The emergency room was very dirty. The windows and germ partitions at the desk were spotty and gross, looked like they hadn't been washed in years. The floor was dirty, garbage under the furniture. The nurse was very rude when I asked why my sister and I couldn't switch out with my mom back in her room. No good reason as to why, just kept saying "it's hospital policy" very snotty and unsympathetic. The police officer kept glaring at us like we were doing something wrong, very unprofessional.
