Nice restaurant with offerings that is pretty unique. The owner and chef speaks perfect English. When you arrive you order first and if you need time you are asked to hit the bell when you are ready after reviewing the menu. We ordered the Taiwanese bento rice and a sesame noodle with a fermented tofu side dish. Overall the food is pretty good. I wished the tofu was even more fermented!
Love this spot! Delicious food, it's our go-to for takeout!

Broken Engrish is what happens when a fine dining chef decides to recreate his childhood favorites in vegetarian form. Everything we have tried has been excellent - from mapo tofu waffle fries to “pork” on rice. We don’t know how he does it - it tastes like real pork.
Broken Engrish, besides having a great name, also has amazing vegetarian/vegan food. The kind of veg food that doesn't feel like veg food at all. Definitely get the Dan Dan Noodles and break up your bites with the zing of a side of their House Pickled Daikon. Other standout dishes were the Mapo Tofu and their Tomato with Scrambled Eggs.
